Changelog

Selected public integration changes across the Sendix API, SMTP service, webhooks, domains, SDK, CLI, and documentation.

How to read this log

Entries describe externally relevant integration changes, most recent first.

Documentation-only entries clarify or expand guidance without changing runtime behavior. Additive entries can introduce endpoints, optional fields, scopes, or event types. Clients should ignore fields they do not use and handle unknown enum values defensively.

Breaking changes

The major API version is part of the URL. If Sendix introduces an incompatible contract, its migration and availability dates will be documented explicitly rather than inferred from a generic promise. Always treat this page and the affected reference section as the contract for a published change.

Operational changes can matter without a schema change
Review retry, rate-limit, webhook, DNS, and delivery-state notes even when your request JSON is unchanged. Those behaviors can affect queue timing and incident handling.

    • Trust-tiered sending: new and unestablished accounts warm up under per-hour / per-day send caps and a per-message recipient limit that grow with a clean sending history (`account_ramp_limited`, `recipient_cap_exceeded`). Established senders are unaffected.
    • Phishing protection is now trust-aware. Structural signals — link text that disagrees with its href, an embedded password field, raw-IP / punycode / `@`-obfuscated link hosts — hold an unestablished account’s message for review instead of delivering it; an established sender’s identical message is only flagged and slowed. A sender’s own verified and tracking domains are never counted as a link mismatch.
    • `POST /v1/emails/spam-check` now returns a `phishing` verdict and reflects it in `can_send`.
    • Free tier is now 1,000 emails/month (100/day); the larger allowance moves to the 14-day trial.
  2. Jul 14, 2026
    • Expanded request, authentication, lifecycle, pagination, rate-limit, CLI, and production-operation guidance.
    • Removed unsupported versioning and changelog-subscription claims; no API behavior changed.

    • Inbound stores parsed message headers on received email records.
    • New `automation:run` scope for external triggers.

    • Broadcast throttling: ramp + per-minute caps.
    • Webhook delivery history and DLQ replay controls are available in the dashboard.

    • Template edits append new versions; publish activates the selected version.
    • New `template:read` / `template:manage` scopes.

    • Suppression list moved to its own resource with manage scope.
    • `email.complained` includes FBL provider and feedback-type context.
